I called the Charter technicians who said I should just get a new modem. I could buy my own and they would knock off my bill each month. I’m down with that! Carissa picked up a new modem after work tonight and I got it running. One of the sites I maintain had a bunch of new material to put up, so I had to scan photos, retouch stuff, change text, and publish. The demolition of our area will begin next week, so we’re all getting ready to move our things out of the area. I’ll bring my camera and get some pictures of the process. It’s going to be weird not working in that area anymore. I spent a good portion of the day working on some database-related problems. It’s amazing the kinds of things that can break. Sometimes I wonder if I am in fact in the right field. I really have a hard time motivating myself to actually write programs, and the constant distractions at work don’t help matters much.
