I called the Charter technicians who said I should just get a new modem. I could buy my own and they would knock off my bill each month. I’m down with that! Carissa picked up a new modem after work tonight and I got it running. The tech was right; the speed came right back to where it should be.

Weavin’ Me Some Web

The weekend was spent doing web work, which was how I spent a good portion of my week. One of the sites I maintain had a bunch of new material to put up, so I had to scan photos, retouch stuff, change text, and publish.
My new grade submission application went live this week, but lots of other stuff went wrong, so work has been taking up most of my time.

Getting Ready for Moving Day

Tomorrow, we’re supposed to be getting things ready to move out of our offices. The demolition of our area will begin next week, so we’re all getting ready to move our things out of the area. I’ll bring my camera and get some pictures of the process. It’s going to be weird not working in that area anymore. I’ve been down there since 1997 when I worked there as a student.

Back To Work

After two weeks off, work was really hard. I spent a good portion of the day working on some database-related problems. It’s amazing the kinds of things that can break. Sometimes I wonder if I am in fact in the right field. I really have a hard time motivating myself to actually write programs, and the constant distractions at work don’t help matters much.
I should just get a non-computer-related job… like CEO.

Happy New Year!

Time to get your goals for the new year all figured out. I know I’ve got a few things I’d like to accomplish this year. Only time will tell if I can meet them.
I need to get some sleep so I can get up early in the morning. I’m going to see my friend Titus and his family today. He’s been in Canada and I haven’t seen him since his wedding.
