Happy New Year

I hope everyone had a good holiday season. I know I did. I took two weeks off of work and have been having a great time with my wife. Ana’s been gone these last two weeks and I really missed her, but she’ll be home tomorrow and then I can give her the presents I got her for Christmas. She’s going to get some more presents on Tuesday when she turns five.

I had a great New Year’s Eve this year. Corey and Sherri came to visit and stayed the weekend. We went to watch Corey play in a charity hockey game on New Year’s Day. It was cold, but fun, and we didn’t mind keeping Sherri company while Corey played.

I’m not looking forward to going back to work, and this is probably the first time I’ve ever felt that way. I wish I could take some more time off, but I’m pretty sure that the next vacation I take will be for Corey’s wedding and Neal’s wedding. Since I don’t get too much vacation, I need to save it up.

When I go back, I will get to see my students though, and that makes it worth it because they’re always able to cheer me up.

And finally, in case you’re wondering, Mom is doing alright. I went to the Seilheimer’s annual party this last week and she came with. Everyone had a lot of fun and it was good to see Titus, whose dad is undergoing treatment for cancer. He’s doing well though, and we’re all just hoping for the best.
