Your odds are worse than ever when it comes to landing a job without a network and a direct referral.

I just saw a post where someone was sharing that they strung together some scripts with ChatGPT to score resumes against job descriptions because they had so many applications it took days to get through them all manually.

So it’s not just the big companies using AI to screen you out. It’s the overworked hiring manager who vibe coded a solution between meetings and other work.

If you worked with someone, and they’re awesome, and you know of someone else who could benefit, make that connection.

And hope that when you’re down on your luck someone remembers that you helped them.
