My back hurts
Published February 14, 2007
I managed to pull some muscles in my back Monday morning on my way to work. I wasn’t doing anything different, but they just decided to clench up and cause a dazzling array of pain. I ended up getting some muscle relaxers that help quite a bit, but I am still pretty uncomfortable if i sit down for any period of time.
If you’re wondering, yes I am still insanely busy but I am hoping to get rid of a few projects soon.
I just got a nice present from Microsoft for helping them along with a project. I can’t really say what it’s about because they want me to keep it somewhat quiet. They sent me a copy of Visual Studio 2005 Professional, which means I can go and install Ruby In Steel now. Who knows, maybe I’ll find another use for VS too.
Just sent another draft of my “Rails for Windows” book to my editor. This is what he had to say after reading 2/3 of it.
The writing is really good. I think you’re
saying what needs to be said, and I’m certainly looking forward to
expanding this into a book once we get the short cut done.
That feels pretty good. Now if I could just make progress on my other book, I’d be all set.
Best commercial ever.
I figured I should take a few minutes today to do some updates to the blog since I’ve been getting lots of emails and phone calls asking what I’ve been doing.
First off, I’m working on a huge project outside of work. It’s been a lot of fun and we are making good progress. I’m very proud of the work we’ve done but we have a long long way to go.
One year
Published January 8, 2007
It’s been one year since Mom passed away. It was a rough day and I still can’t sleep. I can’t believe all of the things that happened last year. A lot of good things happened to me last year but I’d really rather have her back instead.
If you’re reading this, give your family a call and tell them you love them. They’re the most important thing you have, because no matter how much you’ve screwed up, they still love you.
The United States has planned a change to its DST observance beginning in 2007. The Energy Policy Act of 2005 mandates that DST will start on the second Sunday in March and end on the first Sunday in November. In 2007, the start and stop dates will be March 11 and November 4, respectively.
Best wishes to you and your families. may you have a wonderful holiday and a blessed New Year! This really is the best time of the year!
The government discriminates against blind people by printing money that all looks and feels the same, a federal judge said Tuesday in a ruling that could change the face of American currency.
U.S. District Judge James Robertson ordered the
Treasury Department to come up with ways for the blind to tell bills apart. He said he wouldn’t tell officials how to fix the problem, but he ordered them to begin working on it.
