My blog. Personal thoughts, anecdotes, and musings.
Passengers on a small commuter plane are waiting for the flight to leave.
The entrance opens, and two men walk up the aisle, dressed in pilots’ uniforms–both are wearing dark glasses, one is using a seeing-eye dog, and the other is tapping his way up the aisle with a cane.
Nervous laughter spreads through the cabin; but the men enter the cockpit, the door closes, and the engines start up.
This was posted on Fark, but I am putting it up on here anyway. This is the best Flash game I’ve seen ever.

This place is pretty cool. It’s funny how we all sit around now and try to remember where things like walls and doors used to be. Everything has changed. The students have a respectable area to work, I have my own office with more storage cabinets than I can fill, and the move couldn’t have been smoother. If I can get the digital camera’s batteries charged before everyone leaves today, I’ll get some pictures.
Moving Home
Published July 19, 2004
We are getting ready to move back to the old building. We’ve been up in the Library for over six months, and during that time, our old area has been completely rebuilt. When I go down there, I am just in awe of what they have done. I will have my own office, all to myself. I won’t have to share with students or other coworkers. I’ve been waiting quite a long time for this and am more eager than ever to get out of this place we’re currently in.
Rumor has it that my favorite whiskey, The Revelstoke, is being discontinued. There’s no mention of it on the Phillips website, but I left them a message to see if I can get some confirmation. A few of us are planning to organize some sort of grass-roots campaign to bring it back. Apparently in 2001-2002, it outsold Crowne Royale, the top-selling whiskey, 6000 cases to 2900 cases. So people were drinking it….
WINK
Published June 29, 2004
WINK is the coolest program. It’s a free web-based tutorial creation program like Camtasia, but I found it to be a lot easier to use. Creating tutorials is a breeze. There’s no audio support yet, but you could add that in yourself using Flash.
Backing up a DVD with DVD Shrink Encoding a video to XviD with Vidomi I’m working on some more… stay tuned.
Check out Zelda Classic, a faithful re-creation of the original NES classic, with support for your own quests.
I dig the new Velvet Revolver cd. The music rocks, the singing is great, and it’s just a good return to grungy rock ‘n’ roll. I recommend this highly.
Many who read this site know that I have an iPod and I like to listen to my music wherever I go. However, the Velvet Revolver CD is protected by a digital rights management program that prevents me, a legitimate owner of the disc, from ripping a copy to take with me on my iPod.
Human Virus Scanner from TotL.net. This is great.
I found a good basic tutorial on how to write extensions for DreamWeaver. All it takes is some simple JavaScript and HTML. Read more on

ALA has a good post today on how to make liquid CSS layouts. Anyone who’s just learning CSS should give this a read.
