Colleen's Wedding Published July 31, 2003
Here are the pictures, as promised, from my cousin’s wedding. I don’t have any pictures from the reception because they simply didn’t turn out. These pictures are from immediately after the wedding.

I’m sitting in the conference room right now waiting for a presentation to begin… I’m really excited because it’s all about designing web pages using only CSS and no tables. I want to do that with this server. It’s just starting… so I will write more later
I’m heading out of town to go to Chicago for my cousin’s wedding. It should be a good time. I’m hoping to hook up with Neal and Sara sometime over the weekend, if only for a few hours. In the meantime, check out these useless activities. Kill some Mosquitos: the Wisconsin state passtime The easiest fighting game ever. Space bar to punch, arrows to move. You need a really fast computer to play this online NES emulator.

In George Washington’s days, there were no cameras. One’s image was either sculpted
or painted. Some paintings of George Washington showed him standing behind a
desk with one arm behind his back while others showed both legs and both arms.
Prices charged by painters were not based on how many people were to be painted,
but by how many limbs were to be painted. Arms and legs are “limbs” therefore
painting them would cost the buyer more. Hence the expression “Okay, but
it’ll cost you an arm and a leg.”
Those of us who grew up in a small town will laugh when we read this. Those
of you who didn’t will be in disbelief… but trust me… every one of these
are true. Thanks to Anita for this one… sometimes it is nice to be reminded
of where we grow up…. not always… but sometimes.
Another Week Begins…. but soon…. vacation!
Peer-to-peer users who swap copyrighted files could be in danger of becoming federal felons, under a new proposal backed by Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Finished Harry Potter: Order Of The Phoenix It only took me a few days to read it, but it was really good. Unfortunately, I can’t write too much more about it because everything I write would ruin the story. So just go read it yourself. You’ll love it.
We are making progress. Some of the programs I’m working on are done and I’m finishing up my user documentation. I’ll be so much more relieved when I can write some of this off. As of yesterday, I’m boycotting Rosebud, a chain of resturaunts in Chicagoland (No link). They fired a friend of mine in a rather crappy way, after she had put in quite a lot of effort there for almost three years.
Another week of work starts off with a bang. I had the most frustrating day at work today. Several of the projects I have been working on stopped working properly and the development server seems to be developing some sort of cancer or something. I’m encountering more problems than I ever thought possible. To top that off, I’ve been having difficulties with my contact lenses which is obscurring my vision and causing me to make some really embarassing mistakes with my code.
