Progress Published July 16, 2003

We are making progress. Some of the programs I’m working on are done and I’m finishing up my user documentation. I’ll be so much more relieved when I can write some of this off. As of yesterday, I’m boycotting Rosebud, a chain of resturaunts in Chicagoland (No link). They fired a friend of mine in a rather crappy way, after she had put in quite a lot of effort there for almost three years.

Damnit Published July 15, 2003

Another week of work starts off with a bang. I had the most frustrating day at work today. Several of the projects I have been working on stopped working properly and the development server seems to be developing some sort of cancer or something. I’m encountering more problems than I ever thought possible. To top that off, I’ve been having difficulties with my contact lenses which is obscurring my vision and causing me to make some really embarassing mistakes with my code.

Pacman I shouldn’t laugh at this, but it’s too funny. Lots of violence. Connect 4

Whole Lotta Nothing Published July 9, 2003

I’ve been spending some time on the karate pages on this site and I’m working on some animatons and videos for demonstrating the various techniques. Other than that, there’s not too much going down. Wedding Pictures In case anyone’s wondering, there’s some communication problems with our photographer. I won’t put his name and address on here – yet… but he had better play nice. I paid $1000 for my pictures and I don’t have them yet.

Weekend at Bambi’s Published July 6, 2003

We bought a patio set last night and so I decided to sit outside this morning with my lunch and paper and enjoy the nice morning. Not more than
one minute after I had settled into my Best Buy flyer, I heard a rustling in the bushes on the hill across from my house. I looked up and saw two fawns running around in the bushes looking for food. One of them came down about 15 feet away from me. I raced inside and grabbed my camcorder. I got a few minutes of footage of the fawns and their mother getting their grub on.

Soul Singer Barry White Dies at 58 Published July 5, 2003

(AP) – With his unique baritone ? a mix of velvet and gravel ? R&B great Barry White was the voice of America’s bedroom, his throbbing compositions conspiring with purring vocals to seduce fans for over three decades. White, who had kidney failure from years of high blood pressure, died Friday at age 58. He had been undergoing dialysis and had been hospitalized since a September stroke.

Happy Independece Day Published July 4, 2003

I’m heading out to see the fireworks… hoping to have some videos to post when I get back. It’s going to be cool! Mom and Dad were over today and we grilled bratwurst outside. It was a pretty cold morning until around noon when it really heated up. For awhile, we thought it would rain, but it turned out to be a really warm day. I spent some time with my dad after Mom went to work.

Cool Flash Game Published July 1, 2003

Check out this fun HomeRun Rally game I found on the net. It’s pretty simple, but I think it’s a neat use of Flash. The graphics are pretty decent too.

Good weekend Published June 30, 2003

I’ve been getting back into karate again, more seriously this time. I have no choice.. I have two students now who are very interested in learning whatever I can teach them. I enjoy it because it makes me work harder; I get a chance to really analyze how different moves work. It’s a great workout and it’s really an awesome way to build up endurance and stay in shape.
